Our Story
Empowering Indonesia's Healthcare Ecosystem
When the first outlet of Prodia's clinical laboratory was inaugurated in Solo, 1973, there was not the vaguest idea that Prodia would once become a multi-corporations company which it now has become. However, the vision to become a good laboratory which serves high quality and reliable results for the benefit of the patient, and the believe in commitment for continuous improvement in every aspect, has opened the way for Prodia to reach the position of being the best and most reliable clinical laboratory in the country. Hence, within 40 years, it has inaugurated more than 200 outlets, and broadened it's service scope to being a reference laboratory for all hospitals and peer laboratories in the country, and even spun out new companies with diverse healthcare services.
That was when it thought it was the right time to establish a holding company for all the different services. At the current situation, Prodia Utama as the holding company, has 6 entities in the healthcare industry under its umbrella: the clinical laboratory, a CRO (clinical research organisation), an Occupational Health Institute, a Stem Cell company, an IVD (in vitro diagnostic) industry, and a distributor serving laboratories and hospitals for laboratory supplies.
